With skin peels, for those never having experienced the procedures before, the automatic assumption is that your skin will be falling off in chunks and you will be left with red skin for weeks afterwards. In reality this is (more often than not) very far from the truth. A peel is essentially a product that exfoliates the skin, i.e. strips back some of the layers of the skin.
As it happens, most chemical peels are fairly gentle and offer a great way to refresh your skin brightening areas of dullness and targeting specific skin conditions, such as acne, rosacea or melasma. Palm Tree Skin Micro-Peel includes acids such as AHAs (glycolic, mandelic, lactic or azelaic acid), alongside retinols and vitamin C.
Peels help to create a smooth, radiant complexion with an even skin tone. They remove dead skin cells, resurface the skin, smooth out fine lines and improve the appearance of acne and pores. They help stimulate cell renewal and increase the effectiveness of skin care products.
Peels work by loosening and exfoliating the layers of dead skin cells and stimulating the process of cell renewal. Palm Tree Skin Tailored Micro-Peel includes premium grade products such as glycolic acid, mandelic acid, lactic acid and azelaic acid.

Victoria recommends a course of three peels to achieve the best results.
You will see results over the first few days following a superficial peel with the optimum results seen after the initial redness has subsided.
Superficial Peels may sometimes cause initial redness but the results are well worth it and the initial effect doesn’t last long. Dryness can occur in the first few days following a superficial peel but this can be easily treated by use of an aftercare protocol. It is advisable that anti-ageing skincare products are used in the initial post-peel period to optimise the final results.
Yes – superficial peels can be used in combination with most other treatments and are great preparation for Injectable treatments.
Dermaplaning is recommended once every skin cycle (4-6 weeks) although many people do this treatment once every 3 months.
The peel itself is usually a very short treatment, taking usually 15 minutes. Aftercare will be given at the time of the peel.
